At Zenith, we are committed to privacy. We do not use cookies, we do not collect personal data from website visitors, and we do not share or sell data to third parties. All visitor data belongs to you, the site owner.
As a visitor to a website using Zenith
When you visit a website that uses Zenith analytics, no personal information is collected about you. We do not use cookies. We do not generate persistent identifiers. We do not track you across websites or devices.
We collect only anonymous, aggregate data including:
- Page URL and referrer
- Browser and operating system (derived from the user agent string)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet)
- Country and city (derived from your IP address via server headers)
- Screen dimensions
- UTM campaign parameters (if present in the URL)
IP addresses are never stored. Your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting and geolocation (country and city), then discarded. It is never written to our database or logs.
Session identification uses the browser's sessionStorage, which is automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. There is no cross-site or cross-device tracking.
As a Zenith customer
When you create a Zenith account, we collect the information necessary to provide our service:
- Authentication: Your email address and account credentials are managed by Clerk, our authentication provider. We do not store passwords directly.
- Billing: Subscription and payment processing is handled entirely by Clerk. We store your plan type and subscription status, but never payment card details or banking information.
- Session cookies: We use first-party cookies solely for keeping you signed in to your Zenith dashboard. These are not used for tracking.
Third-party services
We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate Zenith:
- Clerk — Authentication and subscription billing
- Convex — Database and backend infrastructure
- Vercel — Application hosting and edge network
- Mapbox — Optional map visualisation (only city names are sent, never IP addresses)
None of these providers have access to your raw analytics data. We do not use any advertising networks, social media pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to your plan and automatically deleted afterwards:
- Free plan: 6 months
- Pro plan: 1 year
- Unlimited plan: 2 years
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. When an account is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered customers. The latest version is always available on this page.
